Executive Biographies
Peter T. Bromley, President and Chief Executive Officer
Bromley joined ATOFINA (formerly Pennwalt Corporation and Elf Atochem North America) in 1981
as a product manager and has served since in various marketing, sales, managerial, and executive
positions for the pharmaceutical and agrichemical businesses. Prior to joining ATOFINA, he spent
six years with the Richardson Vicks Division of Procter and Gamble following active military
service as an officer in the U.S. Coast Guard.
Bromley is an active board member of Crop Life of America (CLA) and former member of
UIPP (France). He earned a B.S. degree from Bowling Green State University and attended
Executive Studies Program at the University of Virginia and Harvard's John F. Kennedy School of
Government. He has also completed several American and European Executive Management
Associations training programs.
Bromley has resided in the Philadelphia region since 1991 when he returned from an ex-pat
assignment in France. He maintains offices both in the KoP, PA headquarters and in the Paris-area
international operations office.
Francois Girin, Executive Vice President
Girin leads the worldwide Post-Harvest (Decco) activities, with operations in the US, France, Spain, Italy, Israel and China. He also coordinates business development and planning activities, and oversees all worldwide administrative support functions as well as the Company's operations in China and Italy.
Girin joined ATOFINA (formerly Pennwalt Corporation and Elf Atochem North America) in 1983
and has held various finance positions at manufacturing locations and at the company's parent
headquarters in France. He moved to Philadelphia in 1991 and served as general manager of the
agrichemicals North American operations from 1996-1998. Most recently, Girin was Senior Vice
President and Chief Financial Offi cer, ATOFINA Chemicals, Inc. before rejoining Cerexagri at its
creation in late 2000.
Girin earned an M.B.A. from the E.M. Lyon Graduate School of Business in France.
Eric Loges, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Loges joined ATOFINA (formerly Pennwalt Corporation and Elf Atochem North America) in 1992
as a financial analyst and has held numerous financial positions with the company in Paris and
Philadelphia. Most recently, he was group financial director, Worldwide Agrichemicals. Prior to
joining ATOFINA, Loges was an operational auditor for Essroc Materials, Nazareth, PA, and a senior
auditor for Ernst & Young, Paris.
Loges holds a French Bachelor degree (MSTCF) in finance and accounting from the Business
School of Paris Dauphine. In addition, he earned a degree for theoretical subjects for the French
CPA (DESCF). Loges is director of the board of the Philadelphia chapter of the Financial Executive
International (FEI) and is fluent in four languages: French, German, English and Spanish.
Barney Gallagher, General Manager, North America Crop Protection
Barney Gallagher is the General Manager of North American Operations. In this capacity he is
responsible for all marketing, sales and development activities surrounding Cerexagri's agricultural
chemicals business in the U.S. and Canada.
Gallagher joined Cerexagri in August 2001 as Sr. Director of Marketing and Development. He was
promoted to the General Manager's position in October 2003. He has over 20 years of experience
in the global agchem business, initially with Velsicol Chemical and subsequently with Sandoz
and BASF. Gallagher's background is heavily grounded in strategic planning and new product
development.
Gallagher is an active board member with the Chemical Producer and Distributor's Associate
(CDPA). He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and graduate
degrees in law and business from the University of Texas and Northwestern University respectively.
Jean-Yves Pape, General Manager, International Crop Protection
With over 20 years experience in the chemicals industry, Pape is responsible for managing
international operations for the agrichemicals company, as well as overseeing all business activities
for Cerexagri, S.A.
Pape joined ATOFINA (formerly M&T Chemicals, Pennwalt Corporation and Elf Atochem North
America) in 1983 as product manager, Fine Chemicals, for Elf Aquitaine. In 1986, he moved to
the United States where he held several business and development positions in Electroplating.
Pape returned to France in 1992 as the business manager for Acrylics. In 1995 he joined the
Agrichemicals business as general manager, International Operations with global responsibilities
(with the exception of North America). Prior to joining ATOFINA, Pape was an application engineer
for the chemical arm of Pechiney Group in Paris.
Pape earned a M.S. degree in chemical engineering from Stanford University in 1978. He also holds
graduate degrees in chemistry and electrochemistry and is a reserve officer in the French Air Force.
Regis Harat, Senior International Marketing and Development Director
Harat joined Cerexagri in 1997 as International Marketing Director, hiring and heading the global
product managers. In 2001 he was promoted as Senior International Marketing and Development
director (covering, Marketing and Technical Affairs) and as per the 1 st of April joined the Cerexagri
Management Board and is additionally responsible for Japan as country Manager.
He earned a B.S. in biochemistry in 1981, a degree in agriculture engineering in 1984 and a MBA
from HEC (France) in 1997.
